Every member of our team is a dedicated volunteer, and all profits from CANBERRA BUYCYCLE will directly support transformative projects identified by the Rotary Club of Canberra. Your contributions will help fund local initiatives like Ruby’s Rotary, which provides vital support for vulnerable youth, helping them access education, mentorship, and resources they need to thrive.
Additionally, funds will support the Assisi Centre for Social Justice and Peace, a not-for-profit organisation focused on promoting gender justice, social inclusion, and non-violent conflict resolution in Ugandan schools and communities. By investing in every child's education, the wonderful staff of the Assisi Centre aim to create a world free from illiteracy, exclusion, violence, and gender inequality.
Rotary's End Polio campaign is a global initiative dedicated to eradicating polio, a debilitating disease that primarily affects children. Launched in 1985, this campaign has helped reduce polio cases by over 99%. Rotary, along with partners like the World Health Organization and UNICEF, works to vaccinate children, advocate for immunization, and strengthen healthcare systems in affected regions. Our commitment is unwavering, with efforts continuing until polio is completely eliminated worldwide. Together, we can ensure a future free from this terrible disease.
The Rotary Foundation is widely recognized for its exceptional management of donations, ensuring that nearly all funds go directly to charitable projects rather than administrative expenses.
